  • Can the Base cutting board be cleaned in the dishwasher?

    Yes, you can clean the baseboard in the dishwasher. However, this will rarely be necessary, since the baseboards surface will not be used directly and can mostly be cleaned by basic detergent and running water.

  • Can the clicked on cutting pads be cleaned in the dishwasher?

    Yes, they can also be cleaned in the dishwasher as long as they are not under mechanical tension. This means, they should not bend through other objects and always stand up or be laid down straight during the washing process. Right after the process, the pads might be slightly bent. That is normal! After the cooling process of about 20-40 seconds they should return to their original shape. The baseboard and cutting pads need to be the same temperature to be clicked together.

  • Can the baseboard alone be used to cut on?

    Yes, but if you use the baseboard as ,for example, a carving board your knife will produce cutting marks on it. This can cause discolouration, depending on  the food, on affected areas. Only using the baseboard with the fitting cutting pads will prevent marks and discolouration.

  • Can the cutting pads be used on both sides?

    Yes. Cutting and processing your food naturally leaves cutting marks on your pads. One side of each pad can be used for up to 10 weeks of daily use. Since both sides can be used the same, the pad only needs to be replaced after 5 months. The cutting plates are made of PP (Polypropylen) to protect your knives.

  • Can hot pots or pans be placed on the baseboard or cutting pads?

    No, please never place hot objects on your baseboard. The pads can also be deformed by heat. For preparing and cutting hot food products, please use the baseboard or the carving board, available as an accessory.

  • Are rubber feet available separately?

    Should a rubber foot ever get lost, you can always order a replacement. If you, however, use a Profboard of the newest generation, the rubber feet are tightly screwed to the baseboard, so losing them will not be possible anymore.
